This is a quick post to show how to turn off those annoying iTunes Store arrow links that light up next to every column in iTunes 8. Apple have taken out the checkbox to hide them in the preferences. I'm not sure if they did it to simplify that monster of a preferences window or if they wanted to send more people to the iTunes store, but! I'm glad they haven't disabled it altogether.
defaults write com.apple.iTunes show-store-arrow-links -bool FALSEThat is all.
Happy new year! I had my ups and downs in 2007, but overall it was a great year for me and for Apple users in general.
As I was doing my year end review, one thing that stuck out was that 2007 was the year that I started taking workplace ergonomics seriously. I made some drastic changes and I would like to share how it made me a happier and more productive person.

Imagine my delight when I found out this morning that my ICBM (Intel Chip Based iMac) is finally shipping. I was half asleep after having woken up at noon as usual and after grokking and parsing out the fedex tracking number out of the shipment notification email, I proceeded on in excitement to the... Oh! it's shipping from Connecticut. That's weird, Shanghai, Connecticut. Oh, wait a minute... Nooooooo!
So now I have a widget sitting in my Dashboard that I will actually use, like every freaking five minutes.
